WHAT TO BRING
Tent (plus a good fly, tarp , if you are grass camping without a roof).
Sleeping Bag - The mountain air gets chilly at night - 50-60 degrees F.
Light fleece blanket - is better than cotton blanket for the damp, humid tropics.
Sleeping pad or mattress
Rubber Boots - You’re in the rain forest…anticipate lots of mud.
Water Shoes - for playing in our river.
Warm Fleece Jacket - is better than a cotton sweatshirt.
Long sleeve t-shirt
Short sleeve t-shirt
Socks and underwear that dry fast, not thick, cotton socks.
Long pants - that dry fast
Flashlight/head lamp/solar light
Large plastic bag - for use as a rain coat
Or tropical weight rain jacket
Flip flops or rubber crocs
Tooth brush/tooth paste
Meals for 3 days - reminder that we have no refrigeration. All of your food must be securely packed in containers. We don't have bears but we do have insects who think your food is dessert.
OPTION: Traveling Light? With advance reservation and notice we can purchase a tent, bag and mattress for you. We will add the cost to your reservation. Call us for details. The gear can stay with the camp when you leave.
OPTION “Used Tents” - We keep a few extra tents on hand for emergency. Talk to us about using a “used tent”. Rental fee is $50/night.
